Week 6 Term 1 2014

As promised in last week’s Blog post here are some photos of the lovely day that Orange and Green Classes  had last Friday.

Our menu was the same as last week:

Mini Frittatas
Pizza of the Imagination
Pasta with a Herb and Tomato Sauce
Potato Salad
Honeyed Carrots

It is amazing how the same menu can seem to be so different each day!

It was a great week in both the garden and the kitchen – lots of participation and lots of fun!

Pink Class excelled on Tuesday with fantastic participation by all – well done boys!!

An interesting way to make potato salad!! It still tasted delicious so that is what counts!!

On Wednesday a particularly special moment was watching Jayden help with the worm farm and also enjoying his lunch with him mum. By the way please email me or give me a call if you would like to come to lunch with us – you or other members of your family are most welcome.

We tried a new ‘gadget’ out this week – it looks like a giant pencil sharpener, but is a peeler and a carrot slicer. Aidan used the device to add shreds of carrot to his pizza. Aidan did a great job this week making frittatas and then a pizza too.

Thursday’s class went really well too – we have some really skilled cooks in Gold and Purple Classes; they are also good eaters – there was very little left!

It was great to have volunteers again this week – many thanks to Jacqui, Brooke, Lisa and Bella. It made a huge difference.
And to finish off, some more photos of our wonderful week:
