This week we made:
Seasonal
Soup
Rocket,
Red Onion and Cheese Pizza
Pasta
with Herb and Tomato Sauce
Bashed
Neeps and Carrots
Coleslaw
Soups were delicious, especially the one made with sugar snap,
snow and minted peas! Pizza was great –
putting fewer ingredients on is really improving them. Pasta with tomato sauce
was delicious, especially as we were able to purchase some very cheap but tasty
tomatoes. Our coleslaw was greatly improved compared to previous times – we
think it is because we used a coarser grater on the food processor. And the
Bashed Neeps and Carrots (swede, carrots cooked and then mashed in butter) were
incredibly popular. Great to see Sam enjoying them!!
As usual students displayed a wide range of skills in the
kitchen – stirring, peeling, grating, frying, juicing, mashing and brushing.
The chooks seem very happy with their new home – everyone is
enjoying working with them.
And finally two photos of Jack and Maggie. Jack did a great
job up-dating our weather board. In these photos he is measuring the
temperature of the soil.
